Kilburn Cosmos 15's Tournament
Guys here are the players selected for the tournament if you could meet at the Tooley str entrance at 10:30am tomorrow london bridge. We will then take the Jubilee line to the tournament. If you fancy travelling up there on your own please notify 8Ball or Will Groat details below. Those of you who find yourselfs in the unconfirmed list pleae get back to us ASAP....

Training and this week...
Training this week on our pitch at Burgess Park, training remains on Wednesdays we move it to take advantage of the lights. For more details click on the menu above and look for the training page which has a link on it.
Will, David and Mike are in the processing of putting together the squad for the weekend tournament. The tournament kicks off at 11 o'clock so be prepared for an early meet. They will be phoning around and double checking who is available to play, if you cannot make training it would helpful if you could phone one of them to let them know what is going on if you cannot be there. Next couple of weeks and start of the season...
This week (25th August 2010) is the last week training is taking place on Clapham Common. From the 1st September we will be training on our home pitch at Burgess Park, same time as normal 7pm-9pm, as long as the flood lights work that is!
We are selecting 28 individuals for the 15s Tournament which we are involved with on the 4th September. The tournament involves four teams with each team playing each other for 40 minutes with 20 minute halves; everyone selected will be guaranteed at least 40 mins time on the pitch and hopefully a good bit more. If you are not coming to training this Wednesday could you let Will (1st Team Captain), David (1st Team Vice-Captain) or Mike (2nd Team Captain) know; there contact details can be found on the committee page. We understand there are good reasons why some can't be there but we need to hear from you if you want to be involved, especially with so many new people arriving to play.
Finally tickets on sale for barbecue this Saturday at the Tigers club house in Burgess Park, ticket price (£10) includes beer and food, all welcome, it should be good fun!

Church 7's Squad
This is the squad for our first 7's tournament of the season this Saturday 14th. Travel arrangements will follow but I expect it will be an early meet at Waterloo as the pitches are at Twickenham. The draw is being made shortly.
Pre-season training
Pre-season training starts on Wednesday 7th July, 7pm till 9pm and every Wednesday after that on Clapham Common before we start training proper on our home pitch in August. The sessions are taken by our coach Niall and all are welcome. For those who do not pay their club subscription up front or are non-members we simply ask for a £2 contribution to cover the cost of paying our coach.
To get there go to Clapham South station; as you come out of the station the park is immediately to your left across the road. We train in the corner between Nightingale Lane and Nightingale Walk.
All are welcome, whether you have played rugby before or not. The main aim is to have fun, get fit and improve our rugby, we usually start with some fitness, then spend some time with drills followed by putting those skills into a game scenario.

The coming season...
The coming season is nearly here, the adults start pre-season training on 7th July and watch this space for our fixture list. The adult first team will make their debut in Kent 2 this year with great things expected, the twos and threes have a full fixture list in the Kent Metropolitan Leagues. The first competitive debut will be at the Park House 10s where we are looking to take two teams on Saturday 21st August.
The junior sides start on Sunday 4th September 10:30am to 12:00pm on our pitches in Burgess Park. It is their 10th birthday this year so congratulations! There is going to be a special celebration on 12th September of all that has been achieved, again watch this space!
